The alkalinity (KH) levels in marine tanks need to be checked regularly to determine the take up in your system.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSimply calculate dosing requirements to suit the depletion rate. After you have determined this, a regular check of the alkalinity levels should be made.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYour tank will change over time as coral grows, new pieces are added as well as invertebrates that also take up carbonate.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe have found ideal KH levels to be at about 8-9 dKH for most aquariums.
